AtlasPROfilax®
AtlasPROfilax® is the method developed in 1997 by Swiss René-C. Schümperli specifically designed to correct dislocated atlas vertebra permanently, in one single session. The technique lies in a specific controlled pressure-vibration massage targeting neck muscles adjacent to the atlas which surround and stabilize the head joint (so called suboccipital area). Using a special device the existing tensions in the upper neck area are released allowing thus the atlas to move back into its correct anatomical and naturally stable position under the skull.
Since the atlas is more or less in a rotational malposition in the majority of people (99%) since birth the method is indicated practically for everybody. The correction is a important preventative measure as well as therapeutic mean as it has been demonstrated to be beneficial for many already existing health troubles. The treatment focuses on removing the cause instead of treating symptoms. The method is intended for all age groups.
To identify the position of the atlas, whether it is dislocated or not, can be done only by our special diagnosis for C1 vertebra which is carried out before each intervention. This is crucial to perform a safe and correct application.
The area of the atlas has significant importance for correct function of the brain and the whole body. The atlas is responsible for suspension, equilibrium and control of the spine and the human skeleton. Incorrect position of the atlas disturbs thus the organism as a whole even if we don´t realize it.
The application of the method comprises two scheduled appointments.

Before the intervention it is recommended to avoid everything what is painful or unpleasant in the area neighboring with the atlas vertebra (upper cervical spine). You will get all the best instructions right after the procedure taking into consideration individual state of every single patient.
The AtlasPROfilax® method is absolutely safe.
Up until today there are practically not known contraindications. The method is performed on pregnant women only in urgent cases.
The Atlasprofilax® method can be provided solely by certified Practitioners – so-called Atlasprof® – educated at the AtlasPROfilax Academy Switzerland®. Only they who are allowed and authorized to practice the Method and meet quality standards.

Every practitioner must be able to prove himself with a valid diploma of the AtlasPROfilax Academy Switzerland®, and a valid license for the practice and a registration number of the device (Atlasvib®)
